Our Pastors Bill & Trish Yanney

Pastors Bill and Tricia Yanney founded Family Worship Center on October 7, 2007. Bill grew up in Sioux City and graduated from North High School in 1979. He attended the University of Iowa and in 1985 was born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Sensing the call to the ministry, upon graduation from college with an M.A., he attended RHEMA Bible Training Center where he received 2 years of formal ministry training. A short time after graduating from RHEMA, Bill met Tricia and they were married in 1995. Tricia is native to Lakeland, Florida and graduated from Florida Southern College with a B.A. and RHEMA Bible Training Center in 1996. Together they have been missionaries in Spain and Peru, where they planted churches and pioneered and directed ministers’ training schools for 9 years under Mark Brazee Ministries. Bill was also an associate pastor at his home church, Family Worship Center of Lakeland, Florida for 1 1/2 years.

Our story began in the heart of Pastors Bill and Trish when they were missionaries living in Arequipa, Peru. The Lord spoke to him in a time of prayer in 2006 to move back to his hometown of Sioux City, Iowa, and start a Spirit-filled church with the simple vision of building people through the Word, the Spirit and the Love of God. After securing a lease in the Indian Hills Shopping Center, the dream of Family Worship Center Church in Sioux City was realized on October 7, 2007!

From the beginning, Family Worship Center Church has been committed to reaching those that don’t know Jesus personally, helping them to find freedom and purpose so they can fulfill their call, and make a difference. The life-giving message of the Gospel, the anointed live worship, dynamic children’s ministries, connection through life groups, and our growing outreach ministries have made FWC a wonderful church to belong to. We’ve seen hundreds of people give their lives to Jesus. We’ve experienced miracles. We want to see heaven crowded and the glory of God fill the earth. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to seek and worship God with passion!
